This is your ticket to explore the ocean while learning so much more! After joining one of the Blue Meet-Ups you’ll start your journey in understanding the ocean not only as a destination, but as a living, breathing force that shapes our planet – and our future.

Requirements to start
You are extremely enthousiast about starting this new journey in connecting with the ocean!

Also on your pre-journey checklist:

* be at least 18 years old

* you are fit to dive, find out more

• you can swim for at least 200 meter
• you have a number of logged dives, depending on which package you choose

Explore the Ocean – Dive With Purpose
Diving is a continuous flow of refinement, exploration and discovery. With the Special Optimist package, you take your skills to the next level — expanding both your technical abilities and your understanding of the underwater world.

Through specialized training, you’ll deepen your knowledge and focus on specific techniques, both dry and wet. Whether refining buoyancy to near perfection, photographing the beauties underneath, navigating with precision, discovering wrecks, helping classified divers or improving underwater awareness, each specialty strengthens your confidence and control.

First, we return to the pool for practicing skills and technical precision. Then, you bring those sharpened skills into open water.

Technical excellence is only part of the journey. Through engaging online courses and inspiring in-person workshops, you’ll expand your understanding of advanced diving concepts, marine ecosystems, and the broader environmental context in which you explore.

You won’t just dive deeper — you’ll think deeper.

Become an Ocean Optimist
As a Special Optimist, you’re not only improving yourself, you’re increasing your positive impact.

Through meaningful Ocean Optimist activities, you’ll turn advanced skills into action. Support conservation efforts. Contribute to citizen science. Practice and promote responsible diving. Lead by example, underwater and on land. The most skilled diver is also the most mindful one.
